About the role

The state supported living centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or who have behavioral problems. The centers provide campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers located throughout the state.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules, coordinates, and takes minutes of the Peer Review Committee and other meetings such as Behavioral Services Discipline meetings.
  • Track timeliness of behavior support plans and consents for the plans.
  • Maintain system to provide detailed information and statistics regarding behavior support plans, psychiatric support plans, and crisis intervention plans.
  • Manage the Behavioral Services office.
  • Complete general secretarial duties.
  • Support the Director with assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Any combination of education equivalent to high school graduation or GED on a year for year basis.
  • 2 years of experience in providing administrative/clerical support preferred.
  • Office Management Experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and standard office equipment preferred.
  • Excellent written communications as observed by detail and completeness of information provided on the state application.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work harmoniously with others; ability to multi-task; ability to work with professional and para-professional staff.
  • Knowledge of office practices, administration, and timekeeping procedures.
  • Ability/skill to evaluate effectiveness and to interpret complex oral and written rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Capable of learning assigned clerical/secretarial tasks readily, adhering to departmental policies and procedures. Willing to learn and accept supervision and direction.

Skills

  • Ability to type and proofread effectively.
  • Time and office management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, including clear and professional writing.

Pay

$2,481.75 - $3,404.91 per month

Schedule

Day shift, up to 5% travel, some flex time required.
