About the role

The Administrative Assistant will provide all aspects of secretarial support in the Department of Medicine. This position works directly with physicians to ensure smooth division operations.

Responsibilities

  • Compose own correspondence and gain the confidence of others
  • Work with faculty, administration, and ancillary personnel
  • Manage multiple tasks independently and in a team setting
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications
  • Use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Work with medical students and residents (preferred)
  • Experience using Epic (preferred)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates Degree in secretarial science, office administration, business administration or related area preferred
  • Two years of relevant related experience preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an academic or research-related office setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Mastery of accepted general office practices
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Self-starter and attention to detail

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
