About the role
Unity is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Hospice & Palliative Care team. This position provides administrative support to department leadership and clinical teams, helping coordinate daily operations, staff education and training, meetings, events, scheduling, and departmental tracking.
Responsibilities
- Education & Training: Coordinate staff trainings, webinars, conferences, and educational programs; support nursing fellowship, residency, preceptor education, and clinical student placement activities; maintain training records, CEUs, certifications, and related tracking.
- Events & Programs: Coordinate logistics for nursing and psychosocial skills fairs, retreats, appreciation events, and other department programs; assist with scheduling, room reservations, materials, food, supplies, registrations, and other event needs.
- Meetings & Communication: Manage calendars and scheduling for department leadership using Outlook and Teams; coordinate meetings, agendas, meeting notes, and follow-up materials; assist with department newsletters, communications, and other informational materials.
- Data & Administrative Support: Maintain spreadsheets, reports, employee information, and other departmental tracking; assist with purchasing, supplies, travel arrangements, and other administrative needs; provide front desk/greeter coverage and general support as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of administrative, project coordination, or office management experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Ability to learn and work with various technology systems.
- Preferred: Healthcare, hospice, or nonprofit experience; experience with Epic, Relias/LMS, or scheduling software.
