Summary

Performs various administrative tasks related to the daily operation of assigned district or department. Essential Functions:

  • Provides administrative support to department and manager.
  • Sets up spreadsheets using Excel; edits various PDF documents.
  • Maintains extensive filing system to ensure backup of all invoices and correspondence.
  • Maintains project sign-in/sign-out log.
  • Ensures proper paycheck distribution, and time input for hourly based employees.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Union Employees’ benefits, changes, and wage adjustments.
  • Coordinates meetings and conferences.
  • Maintains and updates project safety meeting and training logs.
  • Researches, prices, and purchases office supplies.
  • Arranges accommodations for out of state employees.
  • Aids in new employee orientation and paperwork setup.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Associates Degree and/or 3+ years of related administrative experience.
  • Previous experience or interest within the construction industry is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and utilize new software as needed. MS Office, specifically Excel and Word programs, are required. Must have the ability to set up spreadsheets in Excel.
  • Professional communication skills and demeanor.
  • Well-organized with the ability to multi-task.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to identify and resolve conflict as needed.
