Administrative Assistant Apartment Community
About the Role
Property management offices rely on paperwork, follow-through, and someone who ensures nothing slips through the cracks. At Blaisdell Apartments, a 151-unit manufactured housing community in Minneapolis, this role keeps the office functional so the rest of the property remains operational. The position supports the Community Manager by handling administrative tasks, leasing support, and resident communications.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls and emails from prospective residents, schedule tours, and walk people through the property.
- Process rental applications, chase down missing documents, and prepare lease paperwork for move-ins.
- Handle resident correspondence, filing, data entry, and maintain accurate, current records.
- Support delinquency tracking and rent collection processes, including straightforward conversations with residents about their accounts.
- Manage competing priorities without constant direction, owning the administrative side of the office.
Requirements
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, Rent Cafe, Blue Moon, Vendor Cafe).
- Experience with leasing documentation, move-in paperwork, or residential records.
- Comfort handling resident complaints without unnecessary escalation.
- Solid written communication skills for resident correspondence.
- A valid driver's license.
Qualifications
Strong candidates often have experience in roles requiring independent prioritization and administrative ownership. Familiarity with manufactured housing, affordable housing, senior housing, or communities with a strong resident culture is beneficial. Adaptability in communication style to fit the community is key.
