Job Responsibilities

  • Answers and responds to phone and email inquiries.
  • Open and distribute mail.
  • Prepare travel requests and secure car rentals for assigned staff.
  • Create and monitor ART routings and shopping carts.
  • Responsible for bill paying.
  • Affords and monitors office supply and material ordering as needed.
  • Develops and implements applications.
  • Affords and monitors equipment purchases.
  • Prepares print orders for the department’s internal print shop – collates and assembles printed projects upon request.
  • Operates as an office backup for this task.
  • Affords assistance with onboarding personnel employed by the Office.
  • Affords assistance with the development, maintenance, and monitoring of internal office procedures.
  • Serves as liaison responsible for disseminating current office/department policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties assigned by office leadership.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

  • A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
  • A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
  • A high school diploma and two (2) years of secretarial experience; or an associate degree in secretarial science or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment while demonstrating sound judgement and making timely, effective decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and two (2) years of secretarial experience; or an associate degree in secretarial science or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment while demonstrating sound judgement and making timely, effective decisions.
