Position Summary

The Administrative Analyst supports Pharmacy NDC regulatory billing requirements and assists with the Pharmacy charge master maintenance. Responsibilities include managing system-generated charge exceptions, analyzing Pharmacy rate decks, and coordinating record retention pickups.

  • Independently plan, organize, coordinate, and implement the format and download of relevant files including purchasing information.
  • Coordinate with CDM Analyst for annual review and production requirements.
  • Manage 100% of all system-generated charge exceptions under Revenue Audit's purview.
  • Assist with analysis and assessment of Pharmacy rate deck for cost application, revenue, and charge capture accuracy.
  • Produce high-quality management reports directly related to the analysis of Pharmacy charge trends across multiple GLs.
  • Conduct billing audits to ensure 100% charge capture for hospital charges.
  • Train and educate staff on service codes and billing practices.
  • Maintain multiple databases and manage record retention pickups for multiple Revenue Audit sites.
  • Support other administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Read and interpret governmental and commercial payor regulations and develop recommendations.
  • Implement and evaluate automated processes and flows related to hospital charges.
  • Work effectively with all levels of health system personnel, including directors and physicians.
  • Write ad hoc technical reports, perform complex analyses, and convert data into different formats.
  • Convert master files into reports for departmental use.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with pharmacy charge practices and billing requirements.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of NDC Requirements as related to hospital practice.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA.
  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and revenue codes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
