Administrative Analyst - Revenue Integrity - FT Days
Position Summary
The Administrative Analyst is responsible for in-depth analysis and file maintenance directly related to Pharmacy NDC regulatory billing requirements and assisting with the Pharmacy charge master maintenance. The incumbent independently plans, organizes, coordinates and implements the format and download of all relevant files including purchasing information. Coordinates with CDM Analyst for annual review and production requirements. Manages 100% of all system generated charge exceptions under Revenue Audit's purview. Manages a variety of assigned projects with effective follow through in conjunction with Pharmacy and other medical center departments, faculty and staff. Assists with analysis and assessment of Pharmacy rate deck for cost application, revenue, and charge capture accuracy and produces high quality management reports directly related to the analysis of Pharmacy charge trends across multiple GLs.
- Conducting billing audits to ensure 100% charge capture for hospital charges
- Training and education of staff
- Expert consultation to Patient Financial Services staff regarding service codes
- Maintaining multiple databases
- Coordination of record retention pickups for multiple Revenue Audit sites and other administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Skill to read and correctly interpret governmental and commercial payor regulations and develop and implement recommendations consistent with interpretations
- Skill to implement and evaluate automated processes and flows as they relate to hospital charges
- Skill to effectively work with all levels of health system personnel including directors and physicians to facilitate and/or lead as appropriate hospital charge capture initiatives
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles
- Knowledge of Technical and Professional claim billing
- Knowledge of NDC Requirements as related to hospital practice
- Knowledge of HIPAA
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and revenue codes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
