This is a full-time seasonal opportunity operating on a 10 month annual work schedule, with a planned two month off-season leave in November and December. The Administration Manager plays a critical role in supporting the success of Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge as the lodging outpost for Alaskan adventure. This role ensures that the behind-the-scenes administrative functions of the lodge operate smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with our guest, team member, operational, and financial goals. Each day will look different. The Administration Manager supports a wide range of functions including team communication, hiring, onboarding, payroll, training, accounting, housing, compliance, and team member engagement. These administrative responsibilities are essential to creating a stable, well-supported team that can deliver warm, thoughtful service and an unforgettable Alaskan experience for every guest. Responsibilities This role is both operational and people-focused. Success requires organization, follow-through, clear communication, and a strong commitment to supporting leaders and team members throughout the full operating season. Responsibilities include: Administrative Management Oversee the daily activities of the Employee Experience/Housing Coordinator and General Accountant.Coordinate administrative functions including staffing, onboarding, payroll, training, housing, accounting, and team member support.Monitor incident reporting, training compliance, housing assignments, and payroll processes to ensure accuracy and completion.Support audits, cash handling, banking, inventory, and accounting activities while maintaining accurate documentation.Provide administrative support to leadership, including participation in employee relations matters and ensuring teams have the resources needed to operate effectively. Team Member Support & Engagement Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs in partnership with the People team to ensure a positive and engaging team member experience.Serve as a primary point of contact for team members and J-1 students, providing guidance, resolving inquiries, and escalating concerns as appropriate.Support employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, team activities, and events that foster connection and culture.Promote clear communication, inclusion, and a supportive work environment that enables team members to deliver exceptional guest service. Communication and Coordination Plan and facilitate team communications, meetings, and town halls for the assigned line of business.Partner with department leaders to develop, distribute, and reinforce operational updates, priorities, and key messages.Prepare meeting documentation, action items, and follow-up communications to drive accountability and alignment.Ensure information is organized, accessible, and communicated consistently across departments. Operational and Financial Support Support labor, payroll, expense management, and administrative processes to ensure operational efficiency.Assist with inventory controls, audit readiness, cash handling, and accounting documentation while maintaining compliance standards.Promote accountability, resource stewardship, and adherence to operational policies and procedures.Support business performance initiatives through tracking, reporting, communication, and administrative follow-through. Required Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, administration, human resources, accounting support, or a related field preferred.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal operation.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Comfort working with a diverse workforce, including seasonal team members and international students.Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.Strong computer skills and ability to learn and use enterprise systems.Experience supporting payroll, onboarding, training, housing, or accounting processes preferred.Calm, team-centered approach with a willingness to support wherever needed.
