Admin Services Coordinator - Commuter Programs
About the role
Join the University of Iowa’s dynamic Parking and Transportation team as an Admin Services Coordinator for Commuter Programs. In this pivotal role, you’ll engage in a wide range of administrative duties and act as the go-to resource for the Commuter Programs division within Parking Services. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service, dive into data analysis, and collaborate to design and launch innovative commuter initiatives that make a real difference on campus.
Duties
- Enrollment in programs with administration and management of memberships through ongoing customer relations.
- Coordinate and monitor the Van Pool, Bicycling, Bus Pass, 380 Express, Emergency Ride Home, and UI Rideshare Programs.
- Provide information / materials to participants and respond to inquiries.
- Schedule vehicles for maintenance and delivery; communicate with the drivers.
- Enforces policies and administers corrective actions when appropriate.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience (typically 6 months) in administrative or customer service support role.
- Proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience multitasking in fast paced environment.
Special qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety Standards.
Desirable qualifications
- Experience coordinating or administering participant-based programs.
- Strong conflict resolution, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience (typically 6 months) working in a higher education environment.
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm
Pay
$48,000 to commensurate
