Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and organize appointments and answer phones calls from clients.
- Use excellent organizational and communication skills to prioritize tasks and maintain a structured schedule.
- Act as a bridge between individuals served and team members, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of appointments while accommodating various needs and preferences.
- Engage consumers in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of disability or phase of recovery.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Input, update, and maintain the calendar availability.
- Answer calls via the centralized scheduling phone queue and assist callers with their requests.
- Complete requests in the centralized scheduling email and voicemail.
- Answer calls, verify authorizations, verify active insurance, and schedule appointments with an active authorization as appropriate.
- May be responsible for answering and triaging internal and external telephone calls as needed.
- Maintain the staff appointment schedule in the EHR, make and change appointments, and conduct follow-up phone calls to minimize “no shows.”
- Serve as backup for reception.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least two years experience in a full time clerical role; healthcare preferred
