About the role
Rock Valley College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Welding.
Responsibilities
- Teach Welding courses at Rock Valley College
- Work with students to develop welding skills and knowledge
- Adhere to curriculum guidelines and standards
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of work and up to 4 years of experience as a welder and metal fabricator in industrial, construction, and/or maintenance welding
- Must be proficient in: Basic math, basic physics, and basic trigonometry functions.
- Welding blueprint reading skills.
- Mig, Tig, Stick, Oxyfuel Welding and Cutting processes in all positions.
- Current or past welding certification from American Welding Society, American Petroleum Institute, military or similar.
Qualifications
- Three to five years of formal teaching experience in the area of welding desired.
- American Welding Society Certified Welding inspector desired.
- American Welding Society Certified Welding Educator desired.
Salary
$700-$845 per CHE
Pay
Salary range is based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Adjunct faculty schedules are flexible and determined by student needs and course availability.
