Major Responsibilities
- Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach assigned courses and facilitate student learning.
- Provide students with the appropriate course syllabus and adhere to all syllabus content and requirements.
- Maintain accurate attendance and grading records in accordance with college policies as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
- Submit required reports and information within established timelines.
- Be available to students outside of scheduled class times to answer questions and provide academic assistance.
- Address student concerns and consult with the program coordinator when necessary to resolve issues.
- Meet all scheduled classes for contracted courses.
- Use instructional technologies (e.g., Ivy Learn, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools) as appropriate.
- Notify the program or department chair in the event of an emergency absence.
- Conduct all instructional activities with respect for diversity of individuals, learning styles, perspectives, and backgrounds, and actively promote inclusivity as part of professional practice.
Education And Experience
- Strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to the area of instruction.
- Meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction.
- Appreciate, respect, and promote diversity of people, styles, and views.
- Possess a current Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) certification to teach Welding for the Logansport Juvenile Training Program.
- Meet the education component of the School of Technology discipline standard through one of three routes:
- Possess any specialized certifications or credentials required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR) and 5 years directly related work experience in the field that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);
- Possess a current Workplace Specialist License granted by the Indiana Department of Education appropriate to course objectives and directly linked to credentials, certifications, and competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR)
- Possess any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR).
Pay
$44.64 per contact hour

Schedule
Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time appointments hired on a semester-by-semester, as-needed basis.
Qualifications
Required Certification: Must possess a current Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) certification to teach Welding for the Logansport Juvenile Training Program.
