Responsibilities
- Teach courses in welding and fabrication using student-centered, inclusive methods.
- Meet all scheduled classes and notify supervisors in case of absence.
- Develop, revise, and maintain course materials and syllabi aligned with departmental outcomes.
- Evaluate and assess student performance through projects, exams, and assignments.
- Support student retention and success by providing feedback and referrals to college services.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree and AWS certification with 10,000+ hours of welding experience;
- OR A.S. in Welding and AWS certification with 6,000+ hours of welding experience;
- OR High School diploma, AWS certification, and 14,000+ hours of welding experience.
Qualifications
Communicate effectively with students through phone or email.
Use College-approved systems to share course objectives, policies, and evaluation criteria.
Incorporate instructional technology and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Encourage student course evaluations and improve teaching effectiveness.
Maintain accurate records for grading, attendance, and documentation.
Submit grades and reports by established deadlines.
Uphold academic integrity and handle violations per college policy.
