Adjunct Varsity Girls Head Soccer Coach
About the role
Rye Country Day School is seeking a Girls Soccer Varsity Head Coach for the Fall 2026 athletic season running from August 24th through November 9th. The coach will be required to attend all practices during the season, Monday - Friday 3pm-6pm as well as some Saturday practices/games. The position includes the opportunity, pending approval, to organize and lead off-season camps, clinics, and workouts on campus. Involvement with the middle school soccer program is encouraged but not required; middle school athletics are held Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Head Girls Soccer Coach for the Upper School and oversee and help direct JV and Middle School programming and staff
- Create and inclusive, exciting and challenging environment each day
- Effectively planning and organizing both practices and competition calendars in conjunction with Athletic Director and Staff
- Collaborate with the assistant coaches in planning and communication
- Work with the Director of Athletics to hire Assistant Coaches when necessary
- Maintain a safe environment at all times
- Communicate with athletes, parents, coaches, and opponents in a professional manner
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-years successful high school girls Head or Assistant Coaching experience
- A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community
- Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-years successful high school girls Head or Assistant Coaching experience

Benefits

Pay
$8,000 - $16,000 depending on experience and availability for other opportunities on campus.
Schedule
Monday - Friday 3pm-6pm, some Saturday practices/games.
