Adjunct Technology Instructors
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging online course content that aligns with the program's learning objectives and outcomes and is delivered using the College’s approved, branded course shell.
Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects.
Provide regular and substantive feedback connected to the course content that supports student learning and success.
Maintain communication with students on a predictable and scheduled basis.
Follow the adopted faculty norms when teaching in the College’s distance education courses.
Actively participate in professional development activities provided by the College.
Collaborate with other faculty members and administrators to ensure the quality and consistency of the program.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance the relevance of course content.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in business or technology-related field from a regionally accredited institution (for teaching graduate-level courses)
OR
Master's degree in business or a technology-related field from a regionally accredited institution (for teaching undergraduate-level courses)
AND
Relevant professional experience in careers based in areas related to technology
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to student success
Proficiency in using online learning management systems and tools
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Prior experience teaching online courses at the undergraduate or graduate level
Significant professional experience as a practitioner in a technology field of work, such as leadership roles or extensive practical experience
Active participation in professional organizations and associations related to technology
Evidence of scholarly activities, such as research, publications, or presentations
Successful candidates should be committed to contributing to a climate that supports a diverse student body, serves first-generation college students, multilingual learners, and contributions to equity and social justice through their work.
