Position Summary Information

| Job Description Summary | The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes. | |---|---| | Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in related field ***OR*** Associate’s degree in Interpreting with three (3) years interpreting experience. State or National Interpreter Certification. | | Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities | Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline. | | Preferred Qualifications | Successful college teaching experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction. | | Special Instructions to Applicants | Applicants must reside in the state of Texas and be eligible to work in the United States. Job Duties

  • Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
  • Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
  • Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
