Adjunct Professor - Nursing

Summary

Adjunct faculty have the responsibility for providing instruction in the ASN program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Responsible for creating a positive learning environment that prepares students for the complexities of today’s workplace - Promote intellectual and personal development through personally focused learning opportunities, preparing students to succeed, lead and serve - Perform duties including, but not limited to, the instruction and education of students - Support student recruitment and retention efforts - Work collegially with administrators and fellow Educators. - Contribute to the development, review, and revision of program policies

Qualifications

Required: - Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years practice experience - Possess an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license - Possess a Master’s degree or higher in nursing (MSN) - Demonstrated experience in nursing education Other: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook; proficiency in Moodle is preferred - To perform this job successfully, a candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills. The candidate will be able to adapt to new technology and have good time management, organization, and project management skills.
