Adjunct Professor- Medical Assisting

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction between 3 and 14 contact hours per week.
• Maintain one Skills Assistance contact hour per week for every five instructional hours assigned.
• Maintain one Administrative contact hour per week for every five instructional contact hours assigned.
• Maintain a current knowledge of teaching discipline/field of study.
• Participate in curriculum monitoring and development process.
• Attend required College functions including staff meetings, in service training, graduation, and special activities.
• Utilize active learning (facilitation), authentic assessment, and portfolio assignments to support the teaching and learning outcomes of the College.
• Adhere to and uphold all established operational policies and procedures as described in operating documentation.

Requirements

• Faculty possessing an earned master’s degree in biology, anatomy, physiology, zoology, OT, PT, DC, respiratory therapists, speech language pathologists, nursing or a doctorate in medicine (M.D.).

Pay

Salary $666 per contact hour. Generally, courses range between 3 to 6 contact hours so the salary range for this exempt position would be between $2000-$4000.

Schedule

Courses range between 3 to 14 contact hours per week.
