Position Summary

Houston Christian University seeks an adjunct professor for the Department of Classics and Biblical Languages, to teach two classes per semester (including lower- and upper-level Latin, and Classical Mythology). All courses will be offered exclusively in remote synchronous format (residence not required). Candidates should be available to begin work in August of 2022.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Classics (or related discipline) by the time of appointment.
  • The desired candidate should be enthusiastic about, and ideally experienced in, remote delivery.
  • The candidate should be able to articulate a vision that includes potential teaching strategies and innovations that promise to make this mode of delivery successful.
