Adjunct Professor

About the Role

The Department of Psychology at LIU Post seeks adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate-level courses in Psychology. Candidates should have specialized knowledge and/or teaching experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop and instruct undergraduate-level courses, integrating the latest research and innovative practices.
• Write lectures and prepare a syllabus outlining course objectives, content, and testing/grading plans.
• Maintain a Brightspace course webpage and upload student handouts.
• Conduct classes in person and hold weekly office hours to assist students.
• Collaborate with the chairperson and other faculty in course development.

Requirements

• A Master’s or PhD in Psychology or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise applicable to undergraduate-level teaching.

Pay

$1,000–$1,350 per credit.
