Job Responsibilities
Provides instruction to students enrolled in introductory- level art courses. This is an in-person position that will be required to teach classes at multiple campuses and off-campus sites, including high schools.
- Conducts appropriate learning activities
- Maintains effective instructional management
- Participates in all required orientations, meetings, and trainings
- Adheres to all college- designated deadlines
- Participates in Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assessments
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- Master's degree in Art, or master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in art
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art
- Demonstrated interest and expertise in teaching studio art and art history courses to diverse student populations
- Demonstrated experience in teaching 3D art
- Demonstrated experience in teaching to diverse student populations at a two- year college
Additional Comments
Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College’s established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,802 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
