Adjunct Professor- Art
Job Responsibilities
Provides instruction to students enrolled in introductory-level art courses. This is an in-person position requiring teaching classes at multiple Midlands Technical College campuses and off-campus sites, including high schools.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Art, or master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in art.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art, demonstrated interest and expertise in teaching studio art and art history courses to diverse student populations, experience teaching 3D art, and experience teaching to diverse student populations at a two-year college.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest and expertise in teaching studio art and art history courses to diverse student populations highly preferred.
- Experience teaching 3D art strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching to diverse student populations at a two-year college also preferred.
Pay
Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College’s established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,802 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours.
