Art Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary

The University of Saint Francis seeks adjunct faculty to teach in the Creative Arts and Digital Media Pathway under the direction of the Assistant Dean of Creative Arts and Digital Media Pathway. Responsibilities include adhering to university policies, respecting the moral and religious beliefs of the university and students, and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Visual Art (Studio Art, Graphic Design, Animation, Art Education, Pre-Art Therapy): Master of Fine Arts or equivalent graduate degree required.
• Art History/Museum Studies: Doctorate in Art History or equivalent doctoral degree; relevant graduate degree with established professional experience in field of study considered.

Experience

Proven teaching and/or professional experience within field of study.

Knowledge and Skills

• Demonstrates an understanding of educational theory, instructional methods, and evaluation techniques and use of technology relevant to visual art professional practices utilized in higher education in a classroom setting.
• Demonstrates analytical and organizational skills necessary to plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities to assure compliance with established goals and objectives.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, necessary to interact effectively with all university constituents.
