Adjunct – Paralegal Students

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain and submit accurate academic records, including grades, attendance, and certifications.
• Enhance instructional effectiveness through ongoing self-evaluation and by integrating current developments in teaching and learning strategies.
• Develop and update course curriculum, including using appropriate technology.
• Deliver course instruction in alignment with the master course outline and class schedule.
• Aid in the preparation of materials required for maintaining ABA approval.
• Actively participate in Paralegal Studies faculty meetings.
• Create and implement plans to effectively deliver the program curriculum.
• Absorb and maintain technology, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are up-to-date.
• Engage in professional development, including both college-sponsored activities and independent efforts, to stay current in the field of study.
• Advise students as to appropriate courses for completion of the program of study.
• Collaborate with counselors, advisors, and other college staff to address student needs.
• Stay informed about industry, market, and competitive trends to support program relevancy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• A Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of six years of experience as a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania, including experience working with or as a paralegal.
• Possessing preferred qualifications such as teaching experience at a secondary or college level, experience with Learning Management Systems, hy-flex synchronous teaching experience in the classroom and Remote meetings technology, and asynchronous course development and instruction.
