The successful candidate will teach one or moreonline class sections on a semester-by-semester basis, pending enrollment, instructor availability, and student success. Spartanburg Methodist College is committed to ensuring graduates achieve the career and economic outcomes that lead them to pursue a bachelor's degree. To ensure their goals become a reality, all SMC Bachelor's Degree students complete six Professional Development courses called the Camak Core. These project-based courses focus on developing the top skills employers seek from college graduates. These skills include communication, project management, problem-solving, teamwork, analytical skills, and initiative. By teaching professional and academic skills, SMC aims to prepare students for success in their first job and every job after graduation. Requirements Instructors teaching Professional Development coursework must possess a minimum of a master's degree. The discipline of the master's or doctoral degree may vary. Due to the workforce preparation requirements in the curriculum, Professional Development adjunct faculty should possess a minimum of five years of work experience in a professional environment. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, be familiar with best practices in a professional environment, have personnel or project management experience, and have experience as a teacher (or demonstrable promise thereof).
