Job Responsibilities
- Teach MidlandsLIFE courses with an emphasis on independent living, career readiness, self-advocacy, and social skills, using engaging and practical instructional methods.
- Develop, adapt, and implement curriculum to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring materials and instruction are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with program goals.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to support different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student learning through formal and informal methods and provide ongoing, constructive feedback to support individual growth and skill development.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, confidence, and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and instructional activities as required.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- Bachelor's in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling/Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Social Work or related field.
- Experience working with or teaching students with IDD (Preferred Qualifications).
- Masters in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling/Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Social Work or related field (Preferred Qualifications).
- Experience working with or teaching students with IDD.
- Familiarity with working with ISPE Programs.
Additional Comments
Compensation is based on qualifications and relative experience ranging from $30 to $50 per hour.
