Appointed by the Chancellor of the College upon recommendation of the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs
Teaching needs may include face-to-face/online and/or evening classes.
Qualifications
- Registered or Practical Nurse with current, unencumbered license with the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners or Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Experience performing direct patient care within the last four (4) years.
- Able to travel to clinical locations.
- Satisfactory background check – an offer of employment is contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment background check.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.

Job Duties And Other Information
Develop, deliver, revise, and teach medical assistant courses.
Meet College deadlines for attendance taking, grade submission, learning outcomes assessment reporting, and textbook adoptions.
Consult with other College faculty and staff on issues relevant to student success.
Monitor and document student performance.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to the River Parishes Community College Mission.
