Pay

Compensation for adjunct faculty is governed by the collective bargaining agreement between Bentley University and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 509. For the 2025–26 academic year, adjunct faculty are compensated at a rate of $7,225.00 per course. Courses with labs and other four-credit courses shall be compensated at a higher minimum rate of $9,333.00 per course.

Qualifications

The Finance Department at Bentley University is seeking adjunct instructors to teach daytime or evening classes in areas such as Corporate Finance, Investments, International Finance, Financial Planning, Real Estate, etc. during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. Since adjunct faculty positions are ongoing pooled positions, your materials will remain on file and reviewed on an as needed basis for adjunct faculty positions throughout the upcoming semesters.

Skills

Adjunct faculty members should possess strong teaching skills and a deep understanding of finance-related subjects. They should also be able to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to students.

Requirements

To apply, candidates must have a relevant degree in finance or a related field and a minimum of three years of professional experience in finance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with online learning platforms are also preferred.

Schedule

Adjunct faculty members will be expected to teach one or more courses each semester, typically during the day or evening. The exact schedule will be determined based on the needs of the department and the availability of the instructor.
