Position Summary
The Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Nursing Programs in the School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions are seeking applications to build a pool of adjunct instructors for possible future part-time course assignments. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching lecture and laboratory courses, as well as experience in utilizing the virtual environment, such as Canvas LMS, to augment classroom instruction. Preference will be given to candidates who have relevant teaching and practice experience.

  • Teach administrative management in nursing
  • Teach advanced health assessment
  • Teach advanced pathophysiology
  • Teach advanced pharmacology
  • Teach advanced role/concepts
  • Teach clinical courses/practicums/labs
  • Evaluate in nursing
  • Teach financial management
  • Teach healthcare quality and safety/performance improvement
  • Teach informatics
  • Teach legal environment of care
  • Teach nursing leadership
  • Teach nursing research
  • Teach nursing theory
  • Teach population health
  • Teach primary care courses
  • Teach primary office procedures
  • Teach teaching in nursing

Requirements

  • Licensed registered nurse in the State of Indiana
  • MSN degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by the CNEA, CCNE, or ACEN
  • At least 3 years of practice experience

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in nursing preferred

Skills

  • Experience teaching in a virtual environment
