Adjunct Instructor - Web Design (on-site - Burlington, VT)

About the role

Champlain College’s Creative Studio is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach UXD 206 Web Design I for the Fall 2026 semester. The course focuses on hands‑on fluency with web design, covering responsive, multi‑page website creation using HTML and CSS, and analyzing existing sites. Classes are held on campus in Burlington, Vermont, with flexible scheduling to accommodate adjuncts’ schedules.

Responsibilities

• Be on campus for all scheduled class sessions (3 hours per week), with specific days and times to be determined
• Maintain regular availability for student consultation during the semester
• Participate in occasional department events or meetings as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of three years of industry experience in relevant areas
• Experience with Adobe software and CSS + HTML

Pay

Compensation is determined by credit hours taught per semester and follows the current collective bargaining agreement rates for adjunct faculty. Schedule

Course UXD‑206 Web Design I meets for one 3‑hour session per week plus a two‑hour studio. Days and times are flexible to accommodate adjunct schedules, subject to lab availability.
