Adjunct Instructor - User Experience & Interaction Design
About the role
The Creative Studio at Champlain College is seeking to fill an adjunct faculty position in the User Experience & Interaction Design Program for the Fall 2026 semester. The available course is UXD 206 Web Design I.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing sites and make intentional visual design decisions
- Build responsive, multi-page websites using HTML and CSS
- Teach in a career-focused, hands-on learning environment
- Work with Adobe software and CSS + HTML
Requirements
- Experience with Adobe software and CSS + HTML is required
- A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of industry experience in relevant areas are required
- A Master's degree in a related field, relevant experience, and teaching experience is preferred
Qualifications
No prior coding experience required.

Benefits
Compensation for this position is determined by: Credit hours taught per semester, Current collective bargaining agreement rates for adjunct faculty. Detailed compensation information will be provided to qualified candidates during the interview process.
Pay
Champlain College offers competitive adjunct faculty rates consistent with regional standards and union agreements.
Schedule
Days and times are generally flexible to accommodate adjuncts' schedules, but may occasionally depend on lab availability.
