Essential Duties
- Create courses aligned with learning outcomes to enhance student engagement and active participation.
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Utilize various assessments to evaluate student progress and ensure alignment with course objectives.
- Support students in achieving their academic, personal, and professional goals while promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
- Lead and collaborate effectively within and beyond the academic community to support student success.
- Present high-quality, engaging lectures and maintain consistent office hours for each course.
- Accurately record and submit student attendance and grades according to established policies.
- Maintain regular one-on-one meetings with students to discuss academic progress and address concerns.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Pediatric Nursing.
- Current unencumbered Illinois RN license required.
- At least 2 years' experience in clinical nursing practice required.
- Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System or similar preferred.
- Prior experience with online teaching (via Zoom) and/or online teaching certification strongly preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary.
- Experience working with a diverse, multilingual student population desired.
