Summary Of Responsibilities

Responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings while promoting student learning and professional development.

Develops and implements approved nursing curricula, prepares instructional materials, evaluates student performance, and provides guidance and support to help students achieve academic and clinical success.

Maintains accurate records, ensures compliance with program and accreditation standards, and fosters a safe, engaging, and effective learning environment.

Supports program objectives, supervises students in clinical and simulation experiences, maintains appropriate classroom and laboratory conditions, and contributes to the overall success of the Nursing Program.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

  • Graduation from an accredited program with a master’s degree in nursing or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge Thorough knowledge of nursing principles, practices, procedures, and the subject matter for courses and clinical experiences assigned.
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies, adult learning principles, and evidence-based teaching techniques applicable to classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings.
  • Knowledge of student advising, mentoring, and counseling techniques that support academic achievement and professional development.
  • Knowledge of current trends, best practices, technologies, and regulatory requirements in nursing education and healthcare delivery.

Skills

  • Public speaking, presentation, and written communication, including the preparation of instructional materials, evaluations, and reports.
  • Student engagement, motivation, assessment, and performance evaluation in both academic and clinical environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • Effective, professional, and respectful communication with students, faculty, healthcare partners, and staff.
  • Development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing curriculum and clinical learning experiences that align with program outcomes.
  • Supervision and evaluation of students in classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings while ensuring patient safety and adherence to professional standards.
  • Maintenance of accurate student, clinical, and program records in accordance with university and accreditation requirements.
  • Fostering a supportive and student-centered learning environment.
  • Collaboration with faculty, clinical partners, and department leadership to support program effectiveness and student success.
  • Adaptation of instruction to meet various learning needs while promoting critical thinking, clinical judgment, and professional nursing competencies.
