About the role

The Department of Nursing at St. Olaf College invites applications for two part-time (.15 FTE) positions supervising students in clinical rotations for the fall semester (September - December 2026).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise senior-level nursing majors at their pediatric rotation at Minneapolis Children’s Medical Center.
  • Supervise junior-level nursing students during their first clinical rotation at the VA Medical Center.
  • Work on Tuesday, day shift.
  • Assign patients the morning of clinical.
  • Serve as a direct supervisor of a cohort of nursing students (about 6).
  • Facilitate post-clinical conferences to discuss patient assignments.
  • Connect classroom concepts to clinical practice.
  • Debrief on challenging patient scenarios.
  • Maintain accountability for patient safety.

Qualifications

  • Current clinical experience in the relevant specialty area.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.

Salary

$7,000 - $7,300 per course.
