Adjunct Instructor of English

About the role

The Department of Language and Literature at North Carolina Central University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach 1-3 sections of English Composition I and/or II per semester.

Responsibilities

• Teach 1-3 sections of English Composition I and/or II per semester
• Hold 4-8 office hours per week

Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience:

• M.A. in English, Composition and Rhetoric, or a related field with a minimum of 18 hours graduate coursework in the field
• Two years of relevant teaching experience at the college/university level

Qualifications

• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching in face-to-face and/or online formats
• Familiarity with Canvas or other LMS platforms
