Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Prior industry and/or teaching experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach in a project-based learning environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with students and faculty from multiple disciplines.

Essential Functions

  • Teach assigned courses, including class preparation, instruction, grading, and office hours.
  • Plan, conduct, and assess laboratory components associated with assigned courses.
  • Supervise and evaluate student assignments and projects.
  • Provide additional academic support to students as needed.
  • Foster a classroom environment that supports inclusivity, engagement, and growth.
  • Track and report changes in class schedules or instructional delivery.
  • Continuously review and improve teaching materials and methodologies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and assessment activities.
  • Comply with all university policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Chair or College Dean.

  • Sitting for long periods of time using a computer.
  • Standing while presenting information.
  • Setting up equipment for an electrical engineering lab.

Salary

$26 hourly
