Essential Duties
- Create courses aligned with learning outcomes to enhance student engagement and active participation.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports students' intellectual growth and problem-solving skills through discipline-specific strategies.
- Implement a range of formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and ensure alignment with course objectives.
- Support students in achieving their academic, personal, and career goals by providing guidance and fostering a respectful and collaborative atmosphere.
- Promote leadership and teamwork within the academic and professional communities by participating in and leading student activities.
- Deliver high-quality instruction according to approved course syllabi.
- Evaluate and assign grades based on valid assessment criteria.
- Maintain accurate student attendance records and grades.
Qualifications
- Hold AAMA, AMT certification, or relevant advanced degree (MSN, BSN, RN, MD).
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in medical assisting.
- Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System or similar systems is preferred.
- Strong background in online teaching, including experience with platforms like Zoom, and/or online teaching certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of staff and students.
- Experience working with a diverse student population, including multilingual students, is desired.
