The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Qualifications - Education
- A Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Engineering, with a background or concentration in Mechanical or Electrical being highly desirable.
- A doctorate and/or licensure as a Professional Engineer would be preferred.
Qualifications - Experience
- Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as is evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities.
- Additional job experience in the engineering field may be substituted for a Masters Degree, as long as the applicant has a Baccalaureate Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Qualifications - Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the engineering discipline including current developments and technologies in related fields of specialization.
- Ability to teach lab courses and/or tutor in learning centers as appropriate.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Work Hours
Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses and online/hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities.
