About the role
The Department of Linguistics seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor of undergraduate courses in Linguistics in introductory and general areas. The posting is for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027. Potential instruction also needed in sociolinguistics, semantics, phonetics and phonology, language and law, and teaching English as a second language applications.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Linguistics in introductory and general areas.
- Teach courses in sociolinguistics, semantics, phonetics and phonology, language and law, and teaching English as a second language applications.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Linguistics and prior experience teaching as an assistant or instructor of record.
- Master's degree in Linguistics, experience teaching or assisting in courses such as "Language of Now" and "Semantics and Pragmatics" preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching or assisting in courses such as "Language of Now" and "Semantics and Pragmatics" preferred.
