Adjunct Instructor - HVAC

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies.
• Maintain a high level of teaching excellence through clear communication and effective interaction.
• Provide hands‑on and theoretical instruction, manage the classroom, and complete administrative tasks such as reports, syllabus creation, and lesson‑plan development.
• Prepare materials needed for course instruction and testing.
• Maintain student records and adhere to course schedules.
• Utilize the Brightspace D2L learning management system to communicate with students.
• Conduct lectures, discussions, and other teaching activities.
• Align instruction and materials with course objectives.
• Provide students with course syllabi and correlate grade assignments with skill and competency standards.
• Submit grades, attendance, reports, and records in a timely manner.
• Deliver courses in various formats, including distance education, online, hybrid, in‑person, dual enrollment (local high schools), on‑ and off‑campus locations, and correctional facilities.

Requirements

• Academic preparation in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration at the associate‑degree level, **or** equivalent academic preparation combined with relevant work experience or recognized HVAC/R certification.

Schedule

Flexible schedule required (e.g., day/evening). Courses may be offered in multiple delivery formats as noted above.
