Adjunct Instructor – Hazardous Waste Controls Instructor
Duties And Responsibilities
- Facilitating instruction as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi
- Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned to the specific section(s)
- Regularly and frequently evaluating and reporting the academic progress of students
- Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook
- Submitting grades and attendance as the instructors of record
- Communicating with students and other faculty using the College email messaging system
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a master’s degree in their teaching field or have completed at least 18 graduate semester hours (or equivalent) in their teaching field and hold a master’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university
- Or have a master’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university and three years’ work experience in the field
- Availability/Closing Date: Applications for adjunct faculty positions are accepted continuously and reviewed by the department if openings are available. Adjuncts are hired on an as-needed basis. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer. Postings close yearly on January 31; to maintain your application within the system, you will need to re-apply each year.

On-Site Requirement
Faculty should be able to teach courses on campus and attend required meetings. Online courses may be a possibility, but this is not a remote position.
Position Summary
To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students and assisting students as they learn and master course learning outcomes.
