Adjunct Instructor, English
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaching one-three courses (depending on need) in Fall 2025 (ENGL 101 and/or introduction to literature courses, depending on need)
- Create syllabi and assignments designed to hone writing, research, and critical thinking skills
- Emphasize writing as a process through peer review, actionable feedback on drafts, student-instructor conferences, etc.
- Evaluate student work based on course goals
- Hold 4 office hours per week
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: MA or above in English, Rhetoric/Composition, Creative Writing, or a related field
- Experience teaching first-year writing courses at the college level (composition, literature surveys)
