Adjunct Instructor, Composition, UC Blue Ash College

About the role

The English and Communications Department at UC Blue Ash invites applicants for its composition adjunct faculty general pool. This pool will be used to select part-time faculty for the upcoming term, as needed. The position involves teaching first-year English courses and adheres to the department's curriculum or approved course learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Use Canvas, the course management system.
• Hold regular office hours to meet with students and respond to student communications promptly.
• Participate in at least one professional development workshop each year.
• Contribute to writing program assessment.
• Teach to the approved course learning outcomes and requirements.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree (or higher) in Rhetoric and Composition or a closely related field.
• At least one (1) year of teaching experience in a college setting.
• Experience teaching first-year college writing or developmental writing.
• A Ph.D. or ABD in Rhetoric and Composition preferred.
• Experience working with first-generation and/or non-traditional students.
