Adjunct Instructor- Biology

Position Details

This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Science & Health Sciences department and reports to the Chair of the Biology Department.

Responsibilities

• Teaching one or more biology lecture and laboratory courses
• Developing appropriate course syllabi
• Working with students as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Mastery of biology
• Commitment to excellence in teaching at the community college level
• Master’s degree or higher
• A minimum of 18 graduate hours in biology
• Preference given to applicants with college level teaching experience

Salary Range & Fringe Benefits

• Salary based upon level of education ($1,800 - $2,000 per 3-hour course)
• Worker’s compensation

Additional Information

• Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program.
• All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully work from home positions are available at this time.
• Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.
• Kilgore College is a two-year, comprehensive public community college with a campus in Kilgore and an extension center in Longview, Texas.
• The position remains open until filled. Some Adjunct and Part-Time teaching positions may remain open perpetually.
• An offer of employment will be contingent upon passing a background check.
