Adjunct Instructor - Accounting
Position Title
Job Summary
The Business and Career Technology Division is accepting applications for part-time instructor for the Accounting Department. Adjunct applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Submission of an application places candidates in an applicant pool for consideration as instructional needs arise. Positions are offered based on course availability, enrollment, and departmental needs. Applicants will be contacted only if an instructional assignment becomes available and their qualifications align with the course requirements.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, the comprehensive community college mission.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment for a diverse student body.
- Flexibility for teaching courses offered day, evening, and online.
- Instructional expertise to deliver instruction for 21st century learners and assess student learning outcomes as appropriate to ensure academic quality.
- Facility with a range of teaching and learning strategies to foster active learning and student success, which contributes to the fulfillment of the College’s strategic goals.
- Willingness to participate in activities or on college committees that contribute to the success of students.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business or related field including 24 semester hours of accounting.
- In addition to degree requirement, CPA/CMA certification with three years related work experience preferred.
- Ability to teach face to face at the Malta, IL campus strongly preferred.

- Ability to stand and lecture for extended periods of time.
