Adjunct History Professor

Job Responsibilities

Conducts appropriate learning activities.

Maintains effective instructional management.

Participates in all required orientation, meetings and trainings.

Adheres to all college-designated deadlines.

Participates in Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assessments.

Requirements

• Master of Arts in History; or Master of Arts in a related field plus 18 graduate credit hours in history.
• Past experience in teaching introductory college history courses, especially in the community college setting is preferred.

Qualifications

Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College’s established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,802 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
