About the role
The College of Health Sciences at Alvernia University invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach Gross Anatomy in the Physician Associate (PA) Program.
Responsibilities
- Teach Gross Anatomy within the Physician Associate Program in accordance with the approved curriculum and course learning outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality instruction through lectures, laboratory experiences, and active learning strategies.
- Facilitate learning through the use of advanced anatomy visualization technology, including the Anatomage Table.
- Develop and administer assessments that measure student achievement of course objectives.
- Provide timely feedback and academic support to students.
- Maintain accurate course records and submit grades in accordance with University policies.
- Collaborate with program faculty to ensure curricular integration and continuous quality improvement.
- Participate in course evaluation and revision as needed to support program effectiveness and accreditation standards.
- Maintain compliance with University policies and applicable accreditation requirements.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Anatomy, Anatomical Sciences, Medicine, Physician Associate Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a closely related health sciences discipline.
- Experience teaching gross anatomy at the graduate and/or professional level is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in human anatomy and its clinical application.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.
Qualifications
- Terminal degree (PhD, MD, DO, DMSc, DSc, EdD, or equivalent) in a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience teaching in a Physician Associate, medical, or other graduate health professions program is preferred.
- Experience with advanced anatomy visualization technology and laboratory instruction is preferred.
- Familiarity with instructional technologies and active learning methodologies is preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
