Adjunct for French Horn - Oklahoma Baptist University

Purpose

The Division of Music is looking to hire a dynamic, experienced, and student-focused individual to serve as Adjunct for French Horn.

Essential Functions

• Provide private lessons or classes in content specialty to both students pursuing a degree in music, those pursuing a minor in music, as well as students taking lessons or classes as an elective or secondary performance area.
• Other duties may have opportunity to teach other classes in content area.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach private lessons in content area.
• Ability to travel to OBU.
• Commitment to the vision and mission of Oklahoma Baptist University.

Education

• Required: Completed Master’s degree.
• Preferred: Doctorate in Music Arts in instrument.

Experience

• Required: Teaching experience in appropriate content area.
• Preferred: Successful teaching as a music faculty member at an accredited undergraduate institution and significant experience as a performer.

Special Requirements

• Must be a member of a local evangelical* Christian church.
