Adjunct Fall 2026 - Biology Instructor

Faculty position in the Science, Business, & Computer Technology department at the Main Campus.

About the role

Teach one or two college-level Biology courses in disciplines such as general Biology (majors and non-majors), Microbiology, or Anatomy & Physiology. Responsibilities include preparing lecture and lesson plans according to departmental syllabus and learning objectives, teaching both lecture and lab portions of the class in-person, grading student work, and observing chemical and other lab safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or two college Biology courses (e.g., General Biology, Microbiology, or Anatomy & Physiology).
• Prepare lecture and lesson plans aligned with departmental syllabus and learning objectives.
• Conduct in-person lectures and lab sessions.
• Grade student assignments and assessments.
• Adhere to chemical and lab safety protocols.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or Master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours in Biological Sciences or subdisciplines.
• Experience teaching at the community college or college level preferred (not required).

Specify interest in teaching the following courses:

• General Biology (BIO 111)
• Non-majors Biology (BIO 101/104)

Schedule

Various day, afternoon, and early evening hours may be available.

Pay

$1,162 per Equated Credit Hour (ECH).
